The Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles L is a budget friendly box FPV goggle created for the Walksnail Avatar HD system.
The FPV goggles offers a built-in 5.8GHz Walksnail Avatar HD receiver that transmits your FPV images to a high quality 4.5″ 1080P HD screen that works up to 60FPS. Images from a VTX (digital video transmitter) are transferred using H.265 encoding technology that delivers a crisp and clear high detailed Full HD (1080P) wireless stream with 60 frames per second.
This goggle is using a high-performance 4.9dBi directional antenna that gives you a great FPV range.
Box goggle vs binocular goggles: a box goggle for FPV uses a single screen with a lens placed in front of it, while a binocular goggle is using a screen for each eye. Generally, a box goggle offers a somewhat lower resolution at a lower price point, while binocular goggles offers higher resolutions at a much steeper pricepoint. Built-in Headtracker
A built-in 9DOF head tracker makes it possible to precisely measure your head movements and sent wirelessly to an optional FPV gimbal on your model. This way, you can track your head movements and let the gimbal on your model follow your head movements to give you an awesome immersive FPV experience.
You can also use the built-in headtracker with any pan and tilt system like a simpler servo based one. To use this, simply connect the Walksnail Goggles L with a 3.5mm headphone jack to your transmitter. The Goggles L will output a PPM signal over this port to your transmitter trainer port. With some simple settings in your transmitter, you can then sent the headtracker output of the Goggles L from Walksnail to your model.
Built-in DVR
This FPV goggle offers a built-in HD DVR. Simply insert a micro sd card to the micro sd card slot and capture the image you see in your goggle. To check the recoreded images, connect the SD card to your computer and replay all your footage.
Input voltage
To power the goggle, you can use any 2S – 6S external battery. This means that the goggle will operate form 6V till 25.2V. We recommend to use a 3S battery.
Walksnail made a detachable lens option that may support the installation of lenses for nearsighted, farsighted or blue light-blocking lenses.
